Classroom Close-Up: Ms. Rohrhoff, Art Classroom Close-Up: Ms. Rohrhoff, Art For this Classroom Close-Up we popped into Ms. Rohrhoff's art class at Amerman Elementary. She was helping a 2nd grade class with creating their own versions of The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh and incorporating a fun fall twist. Show Transcript Hi I'm Jessica Rohrhoff and welcome to the Amerman art room. Today we have second grade working on our Starry Night pumpkin patches, come on in and check it out! We're working on Starry Night pumpkin patches so inspired by Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night painting and putting a little bit of a fall twist. We are collaging it's actually a mixed media project, they actually drew and painted the background first and then created texture rubbings for their pumpkins and all the different parts and now we're collaging them all together. So we're working on Starry Night and we're kind of adding the pumpkin patch right now. Art is really fun but it's really really fun for me because I've been drawing for so long in my life. I've been drawing when I was like two. I love this project because all the stars are so beautiful. Also because you get to make something handmade and it's going to take a lot of work and then people will be like wow who made that?
